Herne Bay Judo Club has been operating in the town for over 60 years.
The original club trained in the basement of an old language and foreign exchange school called St Marys College. The original judo club plaque featuring the towns famous heron is now a airloom and takes pride of place in our dojo - every logo since has been based around this concept !
In the 70's , members of the club helped to build the current premises , located next to the train station. ALmost two years ago the club underwent a extensive refurbshment - again done by the members.
Our members are passionate about the sport and martial art of judo.
We are a member club of the British Judo Association , the official judo governing body for the International Olympic comitee. All our members gain grades with the BJA and therefore are regonised in all other IJF and ioc CLUBS WORLDWIDE!!
